General Function (Chemist)
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Control inspection and release of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
2) Assist in any processing validation efforts.
3) Perform chemical and physical testing in the QC laboratory (i.e. raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods).
4) Diagnose and correct instrument malfunctions.
5) Assist in creating, revising, and reviewing quality control/quality assurance standard operating procedures.
6) Assist in performing analytical method validations or qualifications when needed.
7) Use, maintain, and calibrate HPLC, GC, ICPMS, UV-VIS, FTIR, pH meter, and other laboratory equipment(when available).
8) Other duties as directed by the QA/QC Manager
Requirements:
1) Bachelors degree in chemistry. MS in Analytical Chemistry a PLUS
2) Minimum of 3 – 5 years QC experience in the Dietary Supplement, Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Cosmetic industry is desirable; micro experience is a plus
3) Ability to follow standard operating procedures and able to work well independently.
4) Attention to detail and accuracy are critical qualifications.
5) Strong understanding of CGMP/GLP/FDA guidelines.
6) MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI TASK!
Work Conditions:
1) Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
