POSITION OVERVIEW:
The ideal candidate for this position is interested in designing, evaluating, and implementing highly public transit infrastructure projects into an urban setting.
An employee in this position will show technical excellence in executing detailed designs and completing thorough analysis of architectural tasks under the supervision of a senior architect. In addition the employee will work with contractor partners in reviewing submittals, respond to RFIs, attend field coordination meetings and assist in resolving constructability issues.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of design solutions under the supervision of a senior architect
• Execution of detailed architectural designs
• Review of technical submittals
• Processing and response to RFI submittals
• Assist to and coordinate with schedulers and estimators
• Conduct code compliance reviews
• Performs a variety of assignments such as conducting architectural studies, developing design concepts and design criteria, and preparing related reports.
• Reviews CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers. Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Writes construction specifications and prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Interfaces with suppliers as required.
• Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project site. Reviews, approves, and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
• Provides the seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract.
• Provides technical guidance to Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:
Minimum Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Architecture
• 5 Years of experience in a professional setting
• Licensed Architects preferred
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCad, and other typical architectural and presentation software
