Job Description
This opportunity is for Weekend Swing. The shift is Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6AM to 6PM.
The Manufacturing Technician 3 is responsible for leading and training facility cleaning team in B1 Fractionation for shift D (Friday to Sunday 3/12 schedule). He/she is expected to assign tasks, ensure proper facility cleaning while adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations, order supplies and elevate issues associated with facility conditions. executing all processes in production while strictly adhering to, which could apply. He/she is expected to fully participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams, which may be applicable. Under the general direction of the supervisor, this position shall be responsible for the hands on execution of all activities in the production area. In addition to making routine revisions to documents, he/she may rewrite complex procedures or initiate new procedures as applicable. He/she has sufficient technical and administrative competence to organize and lead production activities, including demonstrating leadership in state-of-the-art cGMP compliance, and environmental health and safety skills.
1. Clean manufacturing and associated support areas.
2. Train operators on facility cleaning per the SOP.
3. Maintain the facility condition and initiate a maintenance work order to schedule repairs within the facility.
4. Provide support to Manufacturing operators and may make decisions on facility condition acceptability.
5. Follow departmental safety procedures, may conduct cGMP audits of department areas.
6. Assist in updating SOPs.
7. Maintain awareness of proper handling and removal of hazardous wastes.
8. Train and mentor junior level technicians.
9. Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
10. Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams.
11. Train and mentor junior level technicians.
12. Works with support function, such as Maintenance, Metrology, Laboratories to resolve issues and support production needs.
13. May perform other duties as assigned.
14. Initiate and coordinate other process improvement projects.
Job Requirements
Requires 2-4 years experience with AA degree or 4-6 years relevant manufacturing experience with high school degree. Prior experience in classified room cleaning and/or as back up lead operator or lead operator is preferred.
1. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations. Good procedural writing skills.
2. Familiarity with pharmaceutical production equipment including but not limited to CIP and automated systems.
3. Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions.
4. Must be able to apply quantitative analysis to analyze process performance.
5. Incumbent must be proficient in a variety of mathematical disciplines and be able to work with both the metric and USA standards of measurement.
6. Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
7. This position requires shift, weekend and holiday work. Overtime may be required at times.
8. The incumbent must work in a clean room environment wearing special garments. Additionally, personal protective equipment must be worn due to safety requirements.
9. Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures.
10. May require immunization before performing work within the manufacturing area.
11. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills.
12. Must have good computer skills.
