CFO
A LEADER IN INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT BASED IN PHOENIX AZ IS SEEKING A CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will assume a
prominent role in the overall management of the company, including major strategic and policy decisions,
and financing. The CFO is primarily responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in
accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards
Board, other regulatory and advisory organizations, and in accordance with financial management
techniques and practices within the industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of long and short-term strategic
financial objectives to maximize enterprise value consistent with corporate strategy objectives.
With the President, structure ventures with strategic partners to leverage business relationships and
maximize market opportunities.
Effectively present the company results to the ownership board of directors through reports and
monthly MOR and Board Meetings.
As a member of the senior management team, assist in the development and implementation of a strategic plan for growth and an integrated financial strategy.
Assist President with management of investor and Banking relations.
Develop strong investment banking relationships and help determine the most appropriate sources of
financing.
As a member of the senior management team, review proposed organizational changes and
potential merger or acquisition activities.
Provide financial analysis and modeling of all major business decisions and initiatives.
Manage the annual planning and budgeting process and implement in year measurement and
control systems to ensure attainment.
Supervise departmental staff, monitor performance, and evaluate departmental effectiveness.
Ensure credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets,
financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO/President, the Board, and the
other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
Manage the corporate IT function.
Desired Skills & Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills):
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting is required.
Certified Public Accountant.
The ideal candidate has approximately 5+ years of increasingly responsible financial
management experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CFO or equivalent responsibility.
Experience as lead finance position for a $30M+ stand-alone company (ideally $70M+), or a lead
finance position with a $150M+ division of a larger corporation.
Familiar with the latest GAAP, Tax, and FASB conventions, particularly as they relate to
technology, software, and multinational entities.
Familiar with and navigated a company through several successful annual audit cycles, with no
material findings or exceptions noted in the audit reports, with a major auditing firm.
Managed a global treasury function with multiple currencies.
An asset-based approach to business practices in the private or public sector.
Highly skilled at cash management and cash flow forecasting.
Direct experience in acquisition purchase accounting and initial balance sheet set up post
transition.
Managed a company using a Tier 1 ERP system.
Led an organization through an ERP change from one vendor to another.
Team player, with a “can do” attitude, who can work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
