CNC Lathe Operator / Machinist
This position exists to operate CNC Lathe machines in manufacturing.
Performs set up and efficient operation of CNC Lathe machines.
Loads, and validates part programs for optimal production.
Performs First Article validation.
Inspects and measures micro machined parts with general measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and smart scopes.
Produces industrial seals in a timely manner in accordance with blueprints, sketches, and work orders with minimal supervision.
Occasionally, the incumbent will be asked and expected to perform various, miscellaneous, and non-standard duties as required. Such duties are diversified in nature and may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the company.
Requirements:
Bal Seal Engineering is an ITAR compliant company. To be considered, applicants must be able to meet ITAR certification requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Necessary to Successfully Perform this Position:
Ability to perform light program editing and tool offsets using Fanuc controls
Ability to read/ interpret blueprints and tool designs
Ability to solve problems independently or as part of a team
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education Level Desired:
High School Diploma or GED
Technical or Trade School
Prior Experience Desired:
5+ years experience in machine shop industrial environment
5 + years Set up and operation of CNC lathes
Fanuc control programming and editing a plus
Basic computer skills
