Objective:
ALTOUR is seeking a seasoned travel professional to lead the reservations team for a key client. The Team Leader will be responsible for facilitating professional, accurate, cost-effective travel arrangements for the client within their company's guidelines. Additionally, the Team Leader will liaise with the client on travel-related matters, and will coordinate the work of two additional agents assigned to the account.
Skills Required:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in travel services
* 5 years Sabre computer knowledge and proficiency
* Proven history of providing client-focused, white glove service
* Competent with all aspects of ticketing transactions
* Proficient with International Itineraries and rate structures
* Knowledge of online booking tools a plus
* Attention to detail/conscientiousness/flexible
* Proven interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
* Willingness to learn new functions and to enhance existing skills Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead Corporate Travel Team in the delivery of outstanding travel services to the client; coach and guide team members in servicing the client at the highest possible level
* Complete travel arrangements for air, hotel, car rentals, trains, tour, and ground arrangements within client-specific guidelines
* Acknowledge emails within one hour of receipt, with all emails responded to by the end of the day
* Access and address queues at the beginning and end of each day
* Follow company procedures in the areas of customer service, documentation of PNRs and profiles, ticketing, invoicing and invoicing
* Assure client is fully aware of all necessary preparations such as travel documents and health requirements for countries to be visited
* Maintain ownership of each record until departure to ensure all details (including seat assignments, meal preferences, upgrades, etc.) are completed to the client's satisfaction
* Stay fully informed on all airline rules and regulations, tariffs, and fare requirements and accurately applies this knowledge to all travel arrangements
* Take initiative to ensure knowledge of Sabre and other travel/company systems is up to date
* Maintain knowledge of and understanding of re-routing and exchange processes
* Monitor ALTOUR intranet for vendor and other company updates that affect the travel reservations process
