Manufacturing Company located in central Orange County, has an immediate need for a Credit Analyst!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: The credit analyst has the following duties:
Manage the accounts receivable collection for an assigned portfolio of approximately 100 accounts to include frequent contact with the assigned customers.
Prepare reports as to the collection and balance status of the assigned accounts receivable portfolio.
Reconcile customer accounts to insure prompt payments.
Work closely with the sales and customer service departments to maintain good customer relations and reduce credit risk.
Evaluate, prepare, and recommend credit lines through detailed credit risk analysis of the accounts in the assigned portfolio by reviewing financial statements, trade reports, bank and trade references, as well as interviewing the customer’s financial officer’s.
Prepare, process and maintain legal and security documents.
Maintain credit files on assigned customer portfolio.
Perform customer visits and attend credit association meetings.
Process and maintain accounts within the AS/400 computer program: set-up new bill-to and ship-to accounts; update credit lines; and, insure current and accurate information is inputted.
Assist the credit manager in reviewing credit department policies and procedures to insure smooth and efficient operations are maintained.
Requirements:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: A bachelor’s degree; preferably in business, accounting, finance or similar degree.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: A good command of the English language, written and verbal.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Mathematical Skills: Must have good math skills to include the ability to calculate credit ratios and other formulas without the aid of a computer.
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to make clear and impartial evaluations of a customer’s value to our company.
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards
