Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer 5
Senior technical position at the Boeing Company's Satellite Development Center for an experienced electrical engineer who specializes in computer hardware design. This position requires broad knowledge of digital circuit and logic design, and in-depth knowledge of computer system architecture and hardware, including Central Processing Units, memory, and Input/Output (I/O) devices. Substantial experience is required in computing system performance optimization in areas such as processor throughput, memory and I/O bandwidth. Knowledge and experience with common industry standard I/O data busses such as PCI, PCIe, Ethernet, Serial Rapid I/O, and/or SpaceWire, is required. Software device driver and board support package programming knowledge and experience are desirable. Must have a thorough understanding of hardware design in order to generate performance-efficient low-level device driver code. Real-time operating system programming knowledge and/or experience is a plus. Knowledge of electronics design for space environments is desired.

Knowledge of computer hardware and software components (e.g., processors, memory, interfaces, high order languages), and characteristics (e.g., throughput, processing architecture, timing, capacity).
• Engineering Analysis
Advanced knowledge of engineering analysis (e.g. mechanical, electrical, avionics, design, circuit, systems, stress, structural, durability).

Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Having a secret clearance or SSBI is a plus.
