Entertainment Marketing Intern-Los Angeles (Sports Marketing/Events/Promotions)
This position reports directly to the Senior Entertainment Manager and Entertainment PR Coordinator based inLos Angeles. The primary responsibility for this position is to assist the entertainment marketing team with product placement in film, television and music and within the celebrity community. Interns will support the team with a host of functions and will gain hands on working experience in the entertainment marketing and PR fields.
This candidate should have basic knowledge in film, television, and/or music and an interest in the worlds of fashion and celebrity. Candidates should be familiar with celebrity press outlets such as weekly publications, shows and online blogs. This role requires someone who is engaging, proactive, resourceful, organized, self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and proven ability to be part of a team, work independently and multi-task. Personality is a must - as is an ability to work closely with high profile members of the entertainment community.
Responsibilities:
Assist with seeding opportunities on celebrities and influencers Assist entertainment marketing team at specific off-site events Assist with stylist and costumer requests for specific opportunities, including magazine celebrity shoots, events, appearances Assist with managing sample closet to maintain topical product releases for celebrity editorial Support the Los Angeles based Entertainment Marketing team with daily monitoring of placements in print, television and online Assist in creation of monthly entertainment marketing reports Create and maintain celebrity, media and stylist databases Support of the daily operations of the office, adhering to policies and procedures and maintaining a well operated office Current enrollment in school preferably in PR/Communications and/or Marketing
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of the entertainment industry preferred Excellent writing and organization skills Enthusiasm to work within a fun, fast paced work environment Proven ability to work independently and multi-task Must be detail oriented, resourceful, self-motivated and proactive Familiarity and interest with both the sport and fashion industries Strong computer skills, with knowledge of basic MS Office programs particularly power point Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
