Projects Parsons has various water infrastructure projects underway in the design, construction, and operations life-cycle that require the technical input and and oversight of a Lead Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer. This position is open due to the retirement of a long-term and highly valued employee. As part of our team, you will be actively contributing to the water and wastewater infrastructure used and trusted by future generations.
Need Parsons is seeking a Lead (I&C) Engineer with water and wastewater infrastructure expertise for our Pasadena, CA, office to complete and provide technical input, direction, recommendations and oversight to complex design assignments that will apply engineering techniques found in water and wastewater treatment. The successful candidate will prepare and review I&C drawings and documents, including specifications, control narratives, P&IDs, logic diagrams, instrumentation summaries, I/O summaries, statements of work and instrument data sheets. In addition, the Lead I&C Engineer will ensure adequate input and technical guidance to CAD designers and drafters as well as other engineers and vendors working on the same deliverables to promote technical excellence. As projects move into installation, construction and/or operations, this position will also be engaged in assuring the design, construction and operation meet specifications, industry standards, and client expectations, including review of vendor submittals and responses to requests for information.
Qualifications:
10 years of water and wastewater treatment plant I&C engineering experience - PLC experience also a plus
Experience preparing and reviewing specifications, control narratives, P&IDs, logic diagrams, instrumentation summaries, I/O summaries, statements of work and instrument data sheets while utilizing advanced I&C engineering techniques, codes and regulations
Proficiency conducting and overseeing the preparation of calculations, instrument datasheets, instrumentation summaries, I/O summaries, alarm summaries and wiring schedules
Ability to review vendor drawings to ensure compliance to project requirements
Bachelors degree in engineering and PE required
