The IT Engineer is the primary person responsible for operating, maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure as well as integrating our IT infrastructure into our business operations. Our IT hardware infrastructure currently consists of approximately 10 servers (including Windows Exchange, Mail, Web Services, Application, SQL, File, VoIP, Backup and Test), 100 network devices and 15 network switches and routers while our IT software infrastructure currently includes custom built CRM systems, Microsoft Business Solutions and various business functions software systems.
Applicant should be comfortable with handling increasing levels of responsibility, have the ability to work independently, as well as being able to handle multiple projects with great customer service skills. Applicant will provide leadership to realize continuous improvement on the systems and applications to leverage efficiencies and economies. It is important for the Applicant to understand that he will be sole in house IT professional although we have outsourced certain IT functions to third party vendors of maintenance and monitoring services. This position has considerable opportunity for growth as the company and signage industry in general is transitioning to electronic “smart” signage.

Manage back-end architecture, including Windows 2003, 2008 server, SQL Servers, File Servers, Active Directory, Firewall and other Windows systems, including software and hardware.
Troubleshooting enterprise wide systems; build tools, and automations to prevent problem recurrence, perform ongoing system upgrades and enhancements.
Manage database administration and optimizations.
Trouble Network hardware and software issues.
Provide ongoing user support, i.e., essentially being the in house IT Helpdesk.
Build and deploy reports using SQL reporting services.
Manage and communicate with third party vendors for outsourced IT functions
Recommend and deploy new technology.
Must be comfortable working on Dell servers and switches.
Must be proficient in Windows OS XP, Vista, and 7.
Must be willing to adapt and learn a new environment.
Must be flexible on hours in case of emergency.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related degree
Ability to be self-directed and manage multiple tasks with a "can do" attitude
Hands-on advanced experience implementing and troubleshooting Windows 2003, 2008 servers, Exchange, Active Directory and network security systems.
Hands-on experience in design and deploy web based reports using SQL reporting services.
Strong experience writing SQL queries and good understanding of asp.net a plus.
Experience in database design and knowledge of network programming.
Hands-on advanced experiences in MS Visual Studio 2005, 2008, IIS web services a huge plus.
