MANAGER OF FABRIC R&D
Work closely with Designers on new fabrics and be able to counter source fabrics according to price and aesthetics needs of design. Focus sourcing with product specifics in mind to avoid high costs and delays at later stages. Insure all fabrics are sourced and developed with vendors who have met Company standards and to insure all new fabrics pass QUALITY TESTING. Travel and visit fabric vendors and fabric trade shows to enhance the company resources as needed. Coordinate with SVP of R&D on price negotiations, long lead-times, minimums, and payment terms. Receive and coordinate all fabric headers with designer team to fabricate each delivery/season. Communicate and coordinate all new fabric development with Fabric operation team and work together to insure all new fabric specs and hand standards are organized properly. Organize and maintain fabric library together with library coordinator.
