The Mountain Winery is a boutique amphitheater located in Saratoga, CA. The concert season consists of 60 to 70 shows from June 1 to September 30. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the seasonal marketing campaign. The position will require fluency and experience buying media and setting up promotions in support of concert events. Additionally, the position will be responsible for developing annual marketing initiatives, customer loyalty programs, and new social media platforms for the concert season.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES / SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for developing annual paid media plan for a 60+ show concert season. Setting up individual and seasonal show promotions with local media outlets (radio, television, on-line). Preparing season end media recap showing media value of paid, promotional, and PR for the seasonal campaign. Develop and maintain social media platforms for the concert series. Compilation of seasonal advertising pack for the concert season. Creation of comp ticket logs for concerts, Interface with the company ticketing and database departments to update show information. Organizing, approving, and submitting media invoicing for payments. Work with management to develop and implement customer loyalty programs. Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned. Interface with Artists' agent and manager to coordinate ad plans and promotions. Develop joint marketing programs with the venue.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Excellent computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) with ability to quickly learn new programs as needed. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Superior organizational and administrative skills. Ability to work independently with little supervision, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and solve problems as they arise. Excellent proof reading and editing ability. Must be comfortable working under deadlines Must be able to handle confidential matters with absolute discretion. Ability to work long and flexible hours. Having current relationships with local Bay Area media is preferred but not required.
Education:
College degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of comparable marketing experience required
