Merchandise Planner (Sports Media/Graphics/IT)
We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner to drive the product and financial strategy for end of line and specialty product. The Planner will be responsible for the seasonal and annual planning process by category, gender and subclass including sales, inventory, AUR and margin. The Planner will work with the eCommerce team, finance team, buying and product design teams for direction. This position is responsible for all product categories.
Basic Functions:
ú Determines product and planning levels to achieve the financial sales and profit goals set by finance and eCommerce Team. ú Responsible for collaborating across sales channels and product teams to drive and determine needs for the eCommerce site. ú Establishes and manages inventory levels to the appropriate threshold across all product categories. ú Responsible for creating and managing the overall flow and pricing strategy to ensure product is sold at the margin target and inventory is selling through. ú Responsible for creating annual and ad hoc promotional strategy and calendar. ú Determine life expectancy for end of line product. ú Creates and manages the financial open-to-buy. ú Responsible for the assortment planning process. ú Manages on-order requests and recommends revisions as necessary. ú Analyzes variance to plan and provides recommendations to achieve plan. ú Provides markdown recommendations based on performance, industry benchmarks and season. ú Responsible for rolling forecasts weekly, for the month, quarter and year. ú Provides recommendations on inventory risk and opportunities. ú Coordinates and initiates stock transfers on products that have high inventory risk. ú Owns dashboard reporting and supports the finance and business teams in the monthly forecast process. ú Provides ongoing and ad hoc analysis across product family.
Qualifications
ú 3+ years of allocation experience. ú 4+ years experience in the eCommerce or retail environment. ú 3+ years experience in liquidation and end of line planning. ú Excellent with MS Excel and basic MS desktop applications ú Strong analysis skills, able to pull findings from data and create an action plan ú Organized, and able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines. ú Works well with others and utilizes strong communication skills (verbal and written) ú Is proactive and takes initiative
Plus Factors:
ú Bachelor's degree in business related field preffered. ú SAP experience ú Inventory management in retail environment
