Job Duties:
ThePrep Program Coordinatorworks closely with the Director and Program Manager. The Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include lecturing and coordinating program turing responsibilities include developing and delivering lectures. Topics include but are not limited to Anatomy, Physiology, Neurology, Pulmonology, Cardiology, Introduction into ECG, ECG Interpretation, Pharmacology, Medical Math, and more. Program operation responsibilities include ensuring that all course/curriculum objectives are met; administering, grading, and recording scheduled student examinations; and ensuring presence of necessary equipment and supplies. This is a 10% part-time per diem position.
Job Qualifications:
Applicants must have a current American Heart Association CPR certification (provider or instructor), a Paramedic license (preferred), RN license (preferred) or EMT cert. A minimum of one year of lecturing and course coordination experience; a teaching credential, Firefighter 1A/1B Instructor, or National EMS Educator course (preferred). A minimum of six years of work experience as an EMS provider with AA/AS degree or minimum of four years of work experience as an EMS provider with a BA/BS degree and detailed knowledge of paramedic and EMS training programs. Must also have a valid unrestricted Calif. Driver's license and be available to drive personal vehicle to off-campus locations and have experience in operating an IBM personal computer for the purposes of word processing, scoring of examinations, etc. Applicants must be available to work a varying schedule that includes evenings and weekends, be able to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction, and have skill in working and collaborating as part of a an effort to promote and maintain a healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and employees, UCLA Health System is a smoke-free site.
