Data Stage ETL Developer:
Individual needs to be highly skilled and competent using the IBM Data Stage product in a Teradata warehouse environment and will be Responsible for the following activities:
Installation/upgrade of IBM Data Stage product
Applying patches and bundles
Troubleshooting IBM Data Stage product
Project migrations to/from various environments
Develop and troubleshoot UNIX script
Setup Projects
Setup database connectivity to various database environments
Monitor environments according to security requirements
Monitor jobs for performance issues and troubleshooting
Develop, enhance, and support best practices and standards for data integration
Provide performance tuning insight to project teams
Mentor developers on data integration best practices and standards
Perform design and code reviews for the projects to ensure alignment with best practices and standards
Required:
5+ years of experience in IT
3+ years of solid hands-on experience in using IBM Data Stage with ETL and SQL
Experience in Integration of various data sources like Teradata and Oracle
Experience in using IBM Data Stage with ETL and SQL Experience in the Migration from Oracle to Teradata
Strong experience in writing database procedures, functions and fine-tuning SQL for performance optimization
Understand Data Stage clustering architecture and parallel jobs
Intimate knowledge in combine/sort/aggregate/transform data
Able to create reusable objects and job templates
Schedule, compile, and run Data Stage jobs efficiently
3+ years in UNIX scripting, FTP and basic network principles
3+ years skills in database and data warehouse design principles
3+ years of SQL Coding and querying skills
3+ years of experience in testing, debugging skills and troubleshooting support and development issues
Experience in providing onsite support
Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX and Windows NT platform
Customer focused and work well in a team environment
Proactive and self-managed to achieve deliverables
Demonstrate strong analytical/problem solving skills
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to write consistent, clear and accurate documentation
Experience with version 8.x (Data Stage)

Basic Qualifications For ConsiderationDo you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in developing ETL with IBM Data Stage?
Do you have experience supporting functional, system, user-acceptance, and pre-production testing?
Do you have experience developing SQL scripts to pull data from transactional source systems?
This position requires that you work out of Seal Beach, California. Do you currently reside in the Seal Beach, California area (where relocating would not be required) or are you willing to relocate at your own expense?
Typical Education/Experience
Level 3 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Level 4 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
