Rf Engineer
Precision Resource Company is currently seeking RF Engineers for long-term contract positions in the following locations: California - Cerritos, Dublin, San Diego, Fresno; and Colorado - Centenniel.
Primary Purpose:
To design and create RF Plumbing diagrams to complex antenna designs associated with GSM/UMTS/LTE base stations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
AT&T issues the revision of the RFDS which includes a site list with suggested antenna configuration, facility counts, TX Band and other data.
Scoping team reviews site list to categorize and identify challenges and solutions based on site configuration/location. These may include water towers, billboards, rooftops, power company towers, stealth Sites, flag poles, space constraints, problem landlords, etc.
Site audit review is mandatory for any site not in Siterra (document repository)
Scoping Team maintains all scoping related documents in Siterra. Examples include site location, site configuration/layout, tower type, tower height, equipment/lines/antennas, landlord, site audits
Site walks are completed as necessary and scoping documents are created and submitted. Any problem sites need to be reviewed for alternative solutions
Final RFDS plumbing diagram is created with C&E and RAN agreement as a working document.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering
Minimum of 3 year’s of experience performing engineering related duties.
MUST HAVE a strong background in wireless projects.
MUST HAVE a strong technical background in wireless.
Must be self motivated.
Must be well organized to coordinate multiple jobs at one time.
Required to coordinate/schedule
Must be able to relay technical site information to Lead Engineer in KC or at remote office locations.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Experience with Excel & Visio required.
Ability to interpret existing Cell Site technology and determine feasibility for modification while utilizing Siterra, Quick Base, previous versions of RFDS's to determine optimum RF Design.
Ability to coordinate with RF engineers on an as needed basis to collaborate on difficult site solutions.
Knowledge of duplexing/diplexing solutions including but not limited to:
Dual Duplexers, MCPA, RXAIT, and LLC's, Cositing, Tri-plexing, and OBIF Solutions.
Knowledge of Ericsson/ALU Baseband equipment.
Knowledge of Various manufacturer antenna and line components.
Basic knowledge of RF principle and theory.
Prior Cell Site construction or construction
Ability to manage time and work in an independent/team capacity.
