The Position:


The Los Angeles office is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join its growing corporate group. The Senior Account Executive will work on high profile corporate accounts. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for helping to plan, coordinate and implement client programs and activities, ensuring that all programs are strategically on target with clients' business objectives while maintaining day-to-day contact. General responsibilities include:


* Act as key contact for clients

* Have ability to lead projects and secure media coverage

* Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials, including press releases, bylined articles, speeches, client correspondence and reports

* Continually build understanding and knowledge of clients' business and competitive environments

* Play key role in account activities, including special events, media relations, program implementations, etc.

* Be flexible and engage in teamwork within account team

* Participate in the research, writing, and presentation of new business proposals

* Take advantage of internal and external networking opportunities to enhance professional development and agency/office visibility

* Seek counsel from financial manager to understand client and agency financial policies and procedures as they relate to client plans and budgets; follow up on receivables

* Develop an understanding of various research methods; coordinate internal and external resources in implementing research projects

* Have ability to think strategically about client's business and agency business beyond PR

* Flexibility to work from client's offices in Orange County on a regular basis

The Individual:



Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to the following:


* Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing or a related field

* Four-plus years experience in public relations

* Strong media and writing skills

* Experience in auto industry preferred
