We are seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing Planning to join our growing Marketing Department in our Corporate Offices in Calabasas, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead cross functional team in development marketing plans including sale event calendars
Create meaningful and distinct sales events
Develop cross-functional marketing planning process (with Category Management, Ecommerce and Finance) that takes into account all historical results, business trends and potential communications and promotional strategies
Collaboratively develop event sales forecasting with Finance, Category Management and Inventory Control.
Partner with media, CRM and digital teams to optimize communications to support events
Lead weekly business debriefs.
Translate sales results into insights.
Develop quick turn sales generating ideas to react to business results
Develop comprehensive advertising planning process
Provide written direction to creative team for execution for marketing events
Apply understanding of customer motivators to maximize marketing communications
Align with business partners to ensure best outcomes
Additional duties as assigned
Key partnerships: Category Management, E-commerce, Finance, Stores and Inventory Control.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
8+ years of retail experience a must, experience in tool or home improvement a plus
Persuasive leader with ability to present directly and succinctly
Ability to navigate organization with ease
Experience working with print, direct mail, digital, email and broadcast media.
Ability to interact in a professional manner with advertisers.
Familiarity with internet, databases and online advertising agencies is a big plus.
Computer literacy a must
Physical Requirements:
General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to move about an office.
