Structural Analysis Engineer 4
Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Works under minimal direction.

Technical• Accident & Fleet Support
Extensive knowledge of flight vehicle dynamics, design requirements, flight simulation, kinematics, flight operations and procedures, in-service problem resolution, repairs effects on continued airworthiness, assessment of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives. Leads, plans, and coordinates accident/incident investigations.

Extensive, specialized knowledge of aircraft structure, materials strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions, and processes (e.g. non destructive testing, corrosion prevention)

Extensive knowledge of engineering analysis (e.g. mechanical, electrical, avionics, design, circuit, systems, stress, structural, durability).
• Engineering Technical Info
Extensive ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications).
• Structural Repair
Extensive, specialized knowledge of structural repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques). Knowledge of structural repair, overhaul, nondestructive inspection, corrosion control, and composites.
Basic Qualifications For ConsiderationDo you have airplane stress analysis experience?

Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Engineer required to perform repair stress analysis on in-service Boeing commercial airplanes. Engineer located in Long Beach but this position may require some travel. Airplane structure stress analysis experience a plus.
