We screen the majority of the U.S. supply of Source Plasma for various infectious agents (HIV, HCV, HBV and others) using PCR-based methods and participate in numerous clinical studies in the area of infectious disease and oncology for major biopharmaceutical companies. Lab technicians are trained in and ultimately responsible for a variety of duties, specializing in nucleic acid extractions, reverse transcription, PCR set-up, reagent preparation and other laboratory procedures as needed. Heavy amount of pipetting and computer work.
