Unit Secretary Department: Nursing - Medical/Surgical II (6th Flr Main/6087) Schedule: Per Diem Shift: 8 Hour - Evenings Hours: Job Details: Perform secretarial duties utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology and hospital, clinic, or laboratory procedures. Duties include scheduling appointments, billing patients, and compiling and recording medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
Must pass VPH Unit Secretary exam.
Physical Requirements: Physical strength necessary to perform lifting, pushing, pulling (40-50 lbs.), sitting, walking/standing (6-10 hrs.), twisting, squatting, turning, reaching and stretching manuevers in performing clerical duties.
