Vice President - Manufacturing Operations
VICE PRESIDENT – MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS – FOOD – MULTI PLANT - INDUSTRY LEADER – GREAT OPPORTUNITY
One of the category leaders in the food industry with over $1B in sales and growing consistently seeks a VP – Manufacturing Operations for a multiple facilities with rapidly expanding production capacity and demand.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Operations will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership for Company-wide Manufacturing Operations. You will work with your multi-plant team in Manufacturing / Operations as well as Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Assurance, R&D, Purchasing, Logistics and other departments. You will also be a resource to Sales organization, providing support with Customer requirements, communications and resolution of issues.

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10 years food manufacturing experience with proven history of achievement and increased responsibilities. USDA experience is preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing multiple manufacturing facilities. Overall management responsibility at a plant of very large scale with multiple business units would be considered.
• Solid working knowledge of Food Safety (USDA/FDA), Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Environmental compliance requirements, Materials management (purchasing and logistics), Employee Safety processes, Operational Continuous Improvement and Operations financials.
• College degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Food Science or other operations/business related field. Multiple years of food manufacturing management would be considered in lieu of that degree with demonstrated success and organizational progression.
• Strong interpersonal skills that foster the development of an efficient and cohesive manufacturing organization. Ability to organize and develop the talent around them.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organization.
• Strong business knowledge with ability to effectively communicate and work in support of revenue and business financial objectives.
• Self-starter with ability to develop goals and initiatives and deliver on those initiatives without day-to-day oversight.
• Capital project management experience with demonstrated history of delivering on projects timely and within budget.
