We’re looking for a Vice President of Marketing to lead both the strategic vision and the day to day operations of our growing marketing department. We need a seasoned professional from the internet space who delivers results. The marketing portfolio is wide ranging and challenging, with a foundation built on online strategies and tactics, as well as traditional TV and radio media. Our marketing department creates, executes and manages customer acquisition and retention campaigns in multiple online and offline channels. Extensive web and email content is published daily, and multiple CRM campaigns are executed each month.

This is our top marketing position, so you’ll work with senior management to shape the long term marketing strategy of the company and drive measurable performance. We are looking for a seasoned manager who can build and lead teams. If you have solid internet marketing experience combined with a track record in building and managing brands – and are a collaborative yet firm manager who thrives in a highly dynamic and ideas driven environment – this may be for you.

Inexperienced candidates need not apply – we’re looking for a senior level, seasoned marketing executive who has proven experience managing a team at the senior director or VP level in an internet environment. In addition to managing a very creative and bright group, you’ll have fiscal responsibility for departmental planning and budgeting as well as for analytics and reporting. We’re looking for someone who is as equally comfortable with dissecting analytics as they are managing creative endeavors. In this role you will have to use both your left and right brain to be successful.

This is a very visible position. We are a marketing driven internet organization, and many companywide initiatives are driven from this department so you will have significant resources at your command. We’re providing a fabulous opportunity for the right candidate to shine!

In this position you’ll be reporting to the SVP/General Manager, managing a talented staff and interfacing with other departments – especially our Technology and Product Management Departments.

Key Qualities:

1. First and foremost we’re looking for a talented leader with drive, motivation, and great creative instincts that has been successful in an internet environment.
2. Quality, high level management experience in a successful environment is a must. We require a minimum 7 years experience managing a team at the director level or higher.
3. We’re looking for someone who’s been hands on involved with the many facets of marketing – creating and placing ad campaigns in both new and traditional media, while building long-term brand value.
4. We’re looking for a forward thinking individual, a creative thinker and an analytical problem solver – we’re looking for someone who will execute current initiatives as well as strategically plan for the future.
5. We’re looking for someone with a background in ecommerce or the Internet in a medium to large company.

Plusses:

• Project management experience.
• Hands-on internet search marketing knowledge.
• Experience with third-party analytics software and tools such as Google Analytics, Coremetric, and/or Omniture.
• Prior experience managing targeted email campaigns.
• Prior experience with consumer product marketing.
• Traditional media (print, radio) planning and/or buying experience.
• Experience in targeting and executing third-party promotions and partnerships.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a well developed Marketing Group consisting of Acquisition, CRM and SEO/Content departments.
• Develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives.
• Oversee email marketing and SEM/SEO initiatives.
• Oversee online and offline advertising projects.
• Oversee a business-building CRM program.
• Oversee the direction of internet marketing analysis and reporting – you must have a quantitative leaning to do well in this role.
• Oversee content development for website and email campaigns.
• Oversee new initiatives and cross company projects as required.

Requirements: 

1. Bachelor’s or higher degree in Marketing or related field.  MBA is a plus.
2. 7 years experience in internet marketing
3. 7 years experience managing a team at the director level

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to work extended hours on a computer.
